The CIT program will focus on all aspects of leadership, teamwork, decision making and problem solving and guiding children’s behavior, along with building a foundation of knowledge about our camp policies, procedures and programs. You’ll meet each day with other CIT’s to discuss your experience and ideas, and spend time working hands-on working alongside a counselor and a specific group of children.
- Students entering grades 9 or 10 or grades in the fall up to age 16.
- Attend a minimum of 2 weeks of Pioneer Trails/Super Summer (the first session is recommended).
- Previous West Essex Y camp experience preferred, but not necessary.
Super Summer CIT Fees include afternoon snack and Pizza on Fridays.
Fees: 10% discount on full camp fee.
Once accepted as a CIT, candidates will be invited to an Orientation session to review responsibilities and expectations and answer any questions that you may have.
ALL CAMPS: Starting February 1, a $35 administrative fee will be added for changes to your camp experience. April 1 - Final day for camp deposit refund.
At the Y, we let you pay your summer camp balance in a way that works for you! When you sign up, you'll need to provide payment information, but you stay in control. As long as you pay each installment before the due date listed on your receipt, no automatic payment will be processed. If you partially pay early, only the remaining balance will be charged. You can make payments anytime from registration until each installment’s due date, at any frequency.
